Alvaro Morata completed 90 minutes in Spain’s win over Wales on Thursday night – and some Chelsea fans on Twitter ripped into him for the quality of his performance.
The 25-year-old got a full game for his national side, as they annihilated Wales 4-1 at the Principality Stadium.

Morata went into the international break on the back of two goals from his last two games for the Blues, which suggested the centre-forward was beginning to find his form.
But he’s constantly divided opinion during his time at Stamford Bridge so far and his return of three goals in 11 games this campaign is not what is expected of a £70million striker.

The 6ft 2in ace has lost his starting position to teammate Olivier Giroud in Chelsea’s best XI as it stands under manager Maurizio Sarri, but would have hoped the international break could see him continue his recent form to change that.
Morata was unable to get on the scoresheet for Spain against a disappointing Wales side and may feel it was an opportunity missed.

A selection of Chelsea fans cast their eye of the striker’s international efforts and were highly critical of what they saw.
Here is some of the Chelsea reaction on Twitter aimed towards Morata:
Come On Morata still on and haven’t scored, been decent holding up ball and that but grab a goal, even tho Spain r know just keeping ball🤔👌🏻⚽️🔵 #CFC #Morata

I’ve tried really hard to stay positive and I will continue to support him but Morata is such an awful, awful footballer #CFC pic.twitter.com/xMGNN8L8n8

What does Morata have to do to get a goal for Spain in this game?
