Willian staying with the Blues

Chelsea winger Willian has confirmed he will remain with Chelsea next season as they return to the Champions League. The Brazilian has played just 15 league games this season, generally featuring behind Pedro. Next season however brings more games as European football returns to Stamford Bridge and so Willian will undoubtedly feature more. He said ‘yes I have a contract with Chelsea until 2020 and I am very happy here.’ He then went on to say ‘I have a great relationship with all the people who work at Chelsea and the fans too. They have been great since I joined. Chelsea are back in the Champions League next season and I am looking forward to playing in it again.’ Willian was rumoured to be linking up with former boss Jose Mourinho in Manchester for around £200,000 a week but these words dispel that somewhat.

Arsenal pair fit for FA Cup clash

Arsenal will be able to call upon Alexis Sanchez and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain during Saturday’s FA Cup final at Wembley after the pair were both declared fit. Chelsea would have less to worry about if the two were sidelined as originally thought earlier in the week. Sanchez is clearly a key player to the North London side but under Arsenal’s new wingback system Oxlade-Chamberlain has found a new lease of life. Saturday’s opponents could, however, be without Kieran Gibbs who missed the final league game against Everton. He was due to be back in full training this week but is yet to return.

Terry ‘couldn’t care less’

John Terry has insisted that he does not care about criticism received after planning his substitution in the 26th minutes against Sunderland. Many pundits and media outlets slammed the actions but club legend Terry has hit back. He said recently, ‘I couldn’t care less, I promise you. All I care about is celebrating with my Chelsea fans. Me and them have a wonderful rapport and have done for 22 years. Nothing that people write or say can ever get in the way of that.” The captain, who could make his 718th appearance at Wembley on Saturday, has said that the ovation he received from the Chelsea fans will be something he will never forget.
