John Terry raves about "incredible" Chelsea player

‘You want 11 of him in your team’: John Terry raves about incredible Chelsea talent

John Terry has claimed Chelsea star Mason Mount is the kind of player you want 11 versions of to fill a team.

Mount, 22, has gone from rising talent to a full blown superstar in the space of two years.

The attacking midfielders made himself one of the first names on the team sheet at Stamford Bridge. Similarly, that’s been the case with England, too.

He scored nine goals and made nine assists in all competitions last season, including setting up the Kai Havertz winner that won Chelsea the Champions League.

Mount is available to rejoin England on Tuesday after his period of isolation, but Three Lions manager Gareth Southgate is tight-lipped over whether or not he’ll be involved tonight against Germany.

Blues legend Terry has given a glowing verdict on the Chelsea academy graduate.

“I love Mase. I love what he’s about as well. He’s the type of player you want 11 of him in your team. His work ethic. How he is as a person,” Terry told The Official England Podcast

“The responsibility that he takes and the way he’s performed at the top level all the way through to the Champions League this year has been incredible, so absolutely delighted for him because he’s a great kid as well.”

Mount the talisman in Chelsea side

Aged 22, it’s remarkable how important Mount is to Thomas Tuchel’s Chelsea XI.

It’s spot on that he’s got a bit of everything to his game in terms of both offensively and defensively.

If he stays fit and continues on the same path, Chelsea have a player that can be a mainstay for the next decade.

Meanwhile, many are debating whether or not he should start for England against Germany.

There is so much talent in the England squad that Southgate can name so many different quality combinations, but surely Mount is the glue that offers that balance in a number 10 position.
