Chelsea were narrowly beaten 2-1 on Saturday in the FA Cup final – but some of the club’s supporters on Twitter did at least find some positive from the efforts of Mason Mount.

The Blues lost to London rivals Arsenal at Wembley in the domestic cup final, with injury problems and some controversial decisions not going in their favour on the day.

Frank Lampard’s side raced into an early lead with a Christian Pulisic goal and looked sharp, but failed to sustain that during the 90 minutes and the opponents grew into the game.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang equalised with a penalty, before he scored his second and the winner in the 67th minus.

Chelsea lost Pulisic, Pedro and captain Cesar Azpilicueta all to injuries to highlight the rotten luck, plus Mateo Kovacic was harshly shown a red card by referee Anthony Taylor.

He’s been a mainstay in Lampard’s side and is already an England international, so the academy graduate can reflect on what has been a real positive debut season in the first-team at Stamford Bridge.
