'Bring him to the Bridge': Some Chelsea fans want 23-year-old target signed, even after he's sent off last night

Reported Chelsea target Jules Kounde was sent off last night for Sevilla after a moment of madness – but that’s not put some Blues fans off wanting to sign him.

Sevilla defender Kounde was shown a red card on Tuesday night in the 1-1 draw against Barcelona in La Liga.

The 23-year-old was dismissed after a crazy incident that saw him pick up the ball and throw it towards the face of Barcelona’s Jordi Alba after a minor coming together.

ESPN report that Kounde is on Chelsea’s radar ahead of the upcoming January transfer window, with Blues manager Thomas Tuchel a big admirer of his.

In addition, the France international was apparently “really disappointed” when Chelsea’s attempts to sign him last summer failed.

Chelsea fans desperately want Kounde

A selection of the Blues supporters on social media say Kounde would be a perfect addition for them, even after his manic red card against Barcelona.

He’s an extremely talented young centre-back with great pace, power and stamina. Also, he’s shown the versatility to play at right-back, too.

The alarm bells may be ringing after he showed poor discipline to get sent off yesterday.

However, some Chelsea fans believe he’s got exactly the kind of fight that would make him ideal at Stamford Bridge.

Controlled aggression

Yes, some of the Chelsea fanbase loved watching Kounde wear his heart on his sleeve last night, especially against Barcelona.

However, he must learn to channel his aggression in the right way.

Blues centre-half Antonio Rudiger is one of the most aggressive players in the Premier League, but is very shrewd and tactical with it given all the experience.

Kounde will become a target for opponents if these moments keep cropping up, so it’s definitely an area he needs to work on.
