Chelsea have announced their starting line-up for today’s match against Malmo – and some Blues fans on Twitter are excited to see Ruben Loftus-Cheek named in the XI.

Chelsea are playing in Sweden on Tuesday evening against Malmo in the Champions League groups stages. Thomas Tuchel’s side beat tonight’s opponents 4-0 at Stamford Bridge in October, which is why they are strong favourites to continue their winning run.

There are just three changes to the line-up from the team that beat Newcastle United 3-0 at the weekend in the Premier League.

Cesar Azpilicuta, Marcos Alonso and Loftus-Cheek are all promoted to the side. Meanwhile, Reece James, Ben Chilwell and N’Golo Kante drop out.

Chelsea fans buzzing about Loftus-Cheek

A selection of Chelsea supporters on social media are over the moon that Loftus-Cheek is back in the team.

The 25-year-old English midfielder looks like he’ll be lining up alongside Jorginho in the centre of the park. It looks like a combination on paper that has both flair and power.

He’s not started in any of the club’s previous four games across all competitions, so tonight presents a great opportunity for him to catch the eye.

The Blues academy graduate has done well in his eight appearances this campaign, but has his work cut out to try nail down a regular starting position at Stamford Bridge.
