Chelsea beat Aston Villa last night in the Carabao Cup – and some Blues fans on Twitter love a picture that’s surfaced showing some of the club’s players cheering on the team.
The Blues eventually beat Villa on penalties in the third round tie after the teams were locked together at 1-1 after 90 minutes at Stamford Bridge.
German manager Thomas Tuchel made 10 changes to his side on Wednesday night, which meant plenty of main figures got a night off to rest.
A picture has surfaced on Twitter of several Chelsea individuals in the stands that weren’t part of the match day squad.
Jorginho, Mateo Kovacic, Cesar Azpilicueta and Christian Pulisic are four Chelsea individuals that weren’t in yesterday’s squad. However, they can be seen in the crowd emotionally invested in the action.
Harmony within Chelsea squad is strong
It’s obvious that Tuchel is working hard on his man-management to bring this Chelsea group together.
For instance, he’s boosted the confidence of number two goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga to convince him he still has an important role in the squad.
Tuchel has a massive job trying to keep so many top stars happy, but the impact he’s made since he walked through the door has been special.
He clinched the Champions League crown in emphatic fashion during his first half a season in charge. Therefore, the expectation has now risen on him to bring more silverware this campaign.
A picture is worth a 1,000 words and some Chelsea fans on social media loved the image coming out of last night’s win over Aston Villa.
