‘My manager’, ‘Leader’: Some Chelsea fans absolutely love what they’re hearing from Thomas Tuchel

Thomas Tuchel has given an update about what his Chelsea squad will be doing during the international break – and some Blues fans on Twitter love what they’re hearing from the manager.

Tuchel, 48, has barely put a foot wrong since stepping into the job as Chelsea manager in January.

The German coach guided the London club to a second ever Champions League trophy, along with securing a top four spot last season. In addition, his team sit top of the Premier League table during the November international break during a successful campaign so far.

Despite the fact plenty of Chelsea’s squad are away on international duty, Tuchel has confirmed on Wednesday that those remaining with the club are receiving an entire week off.

“Looking at the fixtures in December and January, it’s a lot. The Club World Cup is coming and national break travels so we decided here, also for the staff, to give one week off completely,” Tuchel explained.

RONALDO NEEDS TO STOP WHINING.

“It’s to give everybody the chance to recover, also mentally, and to recharge the batteries because December and January will be tough, no more breaks, and we want to push the team to the limit and that’s why we use the time now.”

Tuchel can do no wrong in the eyes of Chelsea fans

The impact Tuchel has made during under a year at Stamford Bridge has been exceptional.

Garth Crooks has recently hailed the “brilliant impact” he’s made in west London. In addition, pundit Jamie Carragher was singing his praises last month.

A selection of Chelsea supporters are hailing the manager’s latest decision to give the group time off during the international break, something that could benefit the side in the long run.

There is serious strength in depth to the Blues group, so plenty are going to have the chance to recharge batteries while other teammates are off with their respective countries.

Next few games can help shape title run

For Chelsea, the Premier League title has to be an aim within the group given they are top after 11 rounds of fixtures.

There are some huge fixtures after the break that will potentially define a title bid.

Leicester City (away), Manchester United (home), Watford (away) and West Ham (away) are the four upcoming league matches that will be on Tuchel’s mind.

Chelsea are the real deal if they can maintain, or even extend, a three-point lead at the top.
