Tuchel confirms Chelsea star who started on Sunday is out injured vs Tottenham
Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel has confirmed in today’s press conference that Trevoh Chalobah will be unable to play against Tottenham in the Carabao Cup.
The Blues host bitter rivals Spurs tomorrow in the first leg of their Carabao Cup semi-final tie. Incidentally, Arsenal face off against Liverpool on Thursday in the other semi-final.
Tuchel says that 22-year-old defender Chalobah is going to be missing for the midweek contest.
“Trevoh is out tomorrow because of a re-injury,” he said.
Football London reports he aggravated a hamstring problem on Sunday when he started in the 2-2 Premier League draw against Liverpool, which forced him off injured during the second half.
The English centre-back has been a “joy to behold” this season, but the injuries will be very frustrating for him.

Elsewhere, Timo Werner may be in line for a return to fitness because he’s been in full training. Tuchel explained he may be on the bench tomorrow if he comes through Tuesday’s training session.
