Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel has provided an early fitness update on Jorginho after the midfielder picked up a muscle problem during the 3-0 win over Leicester City.

The 29-year-old once again bossed the midfield alongside N’Golo Kante as Chelsea dominated the game.

He was unlucky not to register at least an assist given he created two of the four big chances that the visitors had in the game.

Even more, Jorginho appeared to pick up a hamstring injury in the second half and was eventually replaced by Ruben Loftus-Cheek in the final 15 minutes.

Tuchel’s statement after the game will certainly provide relief to some concerned Chelsea fans.

“I absolutely don’t think so,” the German told Chelsea TV on whether Jorginho will be a doubt for the Juventus game.

“He felt a cramp, so at the moment, I would say there is absolutely no muscle injury.

“So, he is not a doubt for Tuesday.”

Previously, Tuchel also said that Romelu Lukaku, who has been out for a month now due to an ankle injury, might return to team training on Sunday.

It remains unclear whether the striker will be fit enough to start against Juventus. But Chelsea certainly have more options now that Timo Werner is already back in the squad.
