Armando Broja starred last night for his country Albania in a World Cup qualifier – and some Chelsea fans were amazed by the performance of their youngster.
Broja, 19, is a talented young forward who’s been loaned out by Chelsea this season to Premier League rivals Southampton.
However, Blues supporters are keeping a very close eye on him over the international break.
The teenage striker came on as a half-time substitute on Wednesday night during Albania’s 5-0 home win against international minnows San Marino.
He may have been playing against an inferior opposition, but delivered an impactful display.
The Chelsea loanee scored one thunderous goal from inside the box, along with setting up two assists during just 45 minutes on the pitch.
Armando Broja a star in the making
A selection of Chelsea supporters on social media are very excited about Broja, with one even comparing his midweek goal to something you’d see from Borussia Dortmund superstar Erling Haaland.
Broja, who’s been with the Blues academy for over a decade, is now making his way into senior football.
HIs loan with Dutch club Vitesse Arnhem last season saw him score 11 goals in 34 appearances. Meanwhile, he’s started his Southampton spell this year with two goals in two games.
He looks a real physical presence for someone his age at the point of attack and is showing signs of being extremely clinical around the box.
It’s going to be interesting to see if he can break into Southampton’s best XI this season.
Here are some Chlelsea fans discussing Broja’s display v San Marino:
