Hakim Ziyech bagged a goal and an assist as he helped Morocco cruise past the Central African Republic in a 2-0 victory on Tuesday.
The goal and the assist mean the 27-year-old has now been directly involved in five (three goals and two assists) of six Morocco’s goals in the last three days.
He used his magical left-foot again. This time, it’s from a free-kick from his favourite position on the pitch.
He whipped his trademark diagonal ball from deep into the box, forcing the Central African Republic goalkeeper Geoffrey Lembet to wait until the final moment, only to see the ball went into his net.
Ziyech could’ve scored his second goal of the game, but unselfishly passed the ball to unmarked Youssef El-Nasseri in front of the goal.
The result means Morocco will stay on top of their group with 10 points and only need one point to qualify for the AFCON.
Ziyech will have to wait until next year before the next Morocco’s game, though. For now, he will soon travel back to London and shift his attention to the trip to Saturday’s trip to Newcastle United.
