Aston Villa’s Jack Grealish claims that Chelsea’s Mason Mount has been training at 100 per cent with England.
Grealish and Mount are both two attacking midfielders that are part of the England squad at Euro 2020, but whether they will be selected in the same XI remains a big question. Three Lions boss Gareth Southgate is preparing his side for their first group stage game on Sunday against Croatia.
Villa captain Grealish has shared that his Chelsea counterpart Mount looks the business in training.
“Mason Mount is another one who’s always training at 100 per cent. He’s always top class out there,” Grealish said.
It’s not the first time Mount has been praised by a peer for his overall work ethic.
Mount and Grealish shining lights for England
For Chelsea fans, it’s well known what an amazing talent Mount is.
The 22-year-old has to go into this summer’s tournament with an all-time high confidence, as he was part of the Blues side that recently won the Champions League.
Chelsea’s Player of the Season made 18 direct goal contribution throughout the campaign, so people are starting to give him the respect he deserves.
Meanwhile, 25-year-old playmaker Grealish is cut from the same cloth in terms of his individual ability.
He’s got that X-factor to drive forward with the ball at his feet and commit defenders.
Additionally, you can add Manchester City’s 21-year-old Phil Foden into the mix to give England some outrageous creative options.
