A lot has happened this summer regarding players and managers alike, with almost every club strengthening in the top tier of English football and beyond. From the Manchester Uniteds and Liverpools who have invested heavily in British talent, to the “noisy neighbours” Manchester City who have invested heavily in just about anyone, to the Chelsea who have sort of played it quiet with only a new manager and three youngsters, things seem certain to hotten up.
This year’s Community Shield was certainly a terrific way to start the campaign. Manchester United showed their it’s-not-over-til-the-fat-lady-sings belief once again, and Mancini showed just how defensive and rubbish his team is, yet so brilliant too.
Chelsea have a had a brilliant pre-season, whilst doubts will always remain over whether Arsenal has what it takes to really challenge (eighth-time lucky?)
Below, I will give my predictions to the new Premier League season:
1st: Chelsea
Champions League: Manchester United, Manchester City, Arsenal
Europa League: Tottenham, Liverpool
Relegation: Norwich, QPR, Swansea.
