Pep Guardiola refused to rule any Manchester City player out of Saturday’s trip to Chelsea but suggested that a few players could still miss out on action at Stamford Bridge.

At least five Manchester City players; John Stones, Aymeric Laporte, Rodri, Ilkay Gundogan, and Oleksandr Zinechenko are doubtful for the weekend’s match due to injury problems.

Centre-back pair Stones and Laporte, as well as Rodri, have all been spotted in training on Thursday, but Guardiola seems to be unsure whether these three will be ready to feature against Chelsea.

“We still have a few injuries, but some of them came back a little bit un training, and tomorrow we will decide if they are ready to play or not,” the Manchester City boss said during his press conference on Friday.

“Not all of them [are in contention]. We’ll see how they’ll react to today and tomorrow’s training sessions.”

Chelsea without two key attackers

Meanwhile, Thomas Tuchel has ruled Christian Pulisic and Mason Mount, who picked up a minor injury during the Carabao Cup win over Aston Villa, out of tomorrow’s game.

The German, obviously, will have plenty of other attacking options, including Timo Werner and Hakim Ziyech, but Mount’s energy, in particular, would be a big miss for the Blues.
