After Chelsea’s terrible home defeat to Leicester, we mark the players.

Kepa: 6

Made a bad handling error that almost gave Leicester a second. Did make a fantastic save in the first half.

Cesar Azpilicueta: 5

Not much threat going forward. Some crosses were pretty aimless or he just passed backwards.

Antonio Rudiger: 5

He looked tired, perhaps after playing in mid-week. Missed a great chance to equalize and was stranded in no-man’s land for Leicester’s goal.

David Luiz: 7

His long passing is absolutely breathtaking at times. He can sometimes over do them though. Defending is good at the moment.

Marcos Alonso: 5

An improvement on the last few games. Still offering next to nothing going forward.

Jorginho: 6

Back to his absolute best in the first half before he lost it a bit in the second when he lost the ball repeatedly.

N’Golo Kante: 5

Looks confused and lacking in confidence when he has the ball in the opponents half, especially in space.

Mateo Kovacic: 6

Kante should have been the man to be replaced after an hour. Chelsea lose the fluidity of play when the Croat is not playing.

Pedro: 5

A poor mark because of a seriously bad second half when nothing he did worked despite great effort.

Willian: 5

Anonymous in attack. Something that is happening too often. Hudson-Odoi must wonder what why Willian gets picked every game.

Eden Hazard: 7

Carried the attack and looked exhausted as a result. Faded from the game after Chelsea took off Kovacic and started punting long balls to Giroud.
