Chelsea fans are all saying the same thing after Angelo Gabriel’s display for Strasbourg last night

Chelsea youngster Angelo Gabriel was in action yet again last night for French top-flight club Strasbourg.

Angelo Gabriel, who’s just 19, is currently on a season-long loan with Strasbourg.

The Brazilian winger came off the bench on Wednesday night to help his side record a 2-1 victory over Lille in the Ligue 1 fixture.

Chelsea’s loanee picked up his third assist of the league season with a superb threaded pass for Junior Mwanga, but he’s making a lot of his appearances off the bench for Patrick Vieira’s side.

Hopefully, the Chelsea-owned youngster can get himself back in the Strasbourg XI in the second half of the campaign

Blues loanee

We liked what we saw from Angelo in Chelsea colours during the pre-season of the United States, but it’s probably best for all parties that he spent this year out on loan to help his development.

The 19-year-old talent is a very skilful right-winger that loves to drift infield on his favoured left foot.

Gianluca Di Marzio previously reported that Chelsea head coach Mauricio Pochettino wanted to keep Angelo with the senior squad during the 2023/24 season.

But would he have received more game time at Stamford Bridge this season?

If Noni Madueke can barely get much of a look-in at Chelsea right now, we’re inclined to think the Angelo loan has been a smart transfer for everyone.

Chelsea fans impressed by Angelo Gabriel

A selection of Chelsea supporters on social media raved about Angelo after his latest individual performance this week. In fact, they were all saying on X that it was a special assist from him against Lille.

He’s certainly one player that fans are not forgetting about despite being loaned out to French football.

One fan wrote: “Angelo what an assist man omg.”

Another said: “What an assist by Angelo star boy.”

A third posted: “Look at that Angelo pass. Generational.”

Another said: “Angelo with a beautiful assist into space for the winning goal for Strasbourg to take them into 9th. Chelsea need to get better at passing into space rather than only passing to players.”

A fifth wrote: “Angelo assist, 10 minutes on the pitch.”
