Chelsea's Jorginho makes Napoli admission after his agent's comment about possible return

Chelsea midfielder said he misses Napoli and Naples due to London’s freezing-cold weather in an interview on an Italian TV programme.

The 29-year-old had to miss international duty with Italy after picking up a knee injury and there is now staying in London for his recovery.

Having plenty of free time on his hands, Jorginho recently appeared on an Italian TV programme “Peppy Night Fest” on Canale21.

During the video conference interview alongside his former Napoli teammate Marek Hamsik, Jorginho answered a few questions about his old club.

“There are no words to describe it!” said the Italy international when asked how much he misses Napoli (via CalcioNapoliTV.it)

“I miss it, who doesn’t miss Napoli [Naples]! Here in London, it’s freezing cold. They don’t even know what the sun is”

To be fair, Jorginho has a good point there. Who would not prefer Naples’ weather over London’s?

Napoli currently sit fifth in Serie A, only two points below the fourth-placed Atalanta.

Jorginho insisted that Napoli will finish in the top four, saying: “Of course [Napoli] can make it to the Champions League.

Jorginho has been important to Thomas Tuchel’s Chelsea plans so far.

Interestingly, a couple days ago, his agent Joao Santos has clarified that the midfielder would consider returning to Napoli if the Italian club make an offer this summer.

“He is an important player for Chelsea now,” Santos told Radio Marte (via Daily Mail).

“However, he is an Italy international, and we are thinking about a return to Serie A if he leaves the Blues.

“If Napoli will make an offer, we’ll evaluate it.”
