Reports from France have claimed that PSG are now expecting Chelsea to put in a bid for Kylian Mbappe this summer.

According to L’Equipe, a phone call from Todd Boehly yesterday has convinced the Ligue 1 side that they will receive a concrete offer from the Blues for the superstar.

It emerged just over a week ago that Mbappe was being pushed to leave PSG, after relationships between himself and the side broke down recently.

All of the elite sides in Europe sides have been put on notice by this, with it surely causing even the most minor disruption to their plans for the transfer window.

The opportunity to bring in a certified ‘world-class’ attacker to their ranks does not come around often, and should always be considered where possible.

Manager Mauricio Pochettino, who has already worked with the France international, played down the prospects of the forward coming to Chelsea.

However, reports continue to link the two parties, and it is not difficult to believe that the Chelsea owner is intrigued by the deal.

It is widely-known that Boehly has wanted to bring a superstar to Stamford Bridge since he took over. The efforts last summer saw him try and complete the sensational coup of Cristiano Ronaldo.

He made a lot of efforts with the player’s agent, Jorge Mendes, although a deal did not come to fruition.

Chelsea’s current priorities are seemingly to bring in players in defence and midfield. There is reportedly a medical taking place today for Axel Disasi to make his permanent move.

They are also actively pursuing a deal for Moises Caicedo, however it seems as if they are struggling to come to an agreement over a fee.
