Some Chelsea fans on social media feel Thomas Tuchel has been unfair with Tammy Abraham with his admission during his press conference on Friday.

As it stands, Abraham is still leading Chelsea’s goalscoring charts in the Premier League (six, joint with Mason Mount and Jorginho) and in all competitions (12).

Given the statistics, it was not a surprise that Tuchel was questioned about the 23-year-old’s lack of minutes under him.

“He [Abraham] started twice and was substituted for tactical reasons at half-time, so he could not have the impact we wish from him,” the Chelsea manager said at his press conference (via Chelsea’s official YouTube channel).

“Then he was injured and lost a bit of the connection and the possibility to fight for his place.

“The squad played well and had a lot of results without him, now suddenly we enter the decisive part of the season where it is not easy to bring players who were injured.”

However, Tuchel’s statement has raised some eyebrows given he did not have any problem reintegrating Christian Pulisic or even Thiago Silva, who was out for two months, after their respective injury.

Obviously, Tuchel was right when he said that Chelsea had good results even without Abraham.

It is just that at the moment, Chelsea have had some problems offensively, and some believe Abraham could at least help solve the issue if he is given the opportunity to play.

Here are some reactions from a few Chelsea fans on Twitter regarding the England international’s situation.
