Sevilla goalkeeper Tomas Vaclik named three Chelsea players as he praised the Blues’ attacking quality ahead of Wednesday’s Champions League clash.
The 0-0 draw between Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday shows that their attack is not unstoppable.
But then again, Chelsea still scored joint-most goals in the Premier League this season so far (22 goals).
Sevilla themselves have stopped Chelsea from scoring when they visited Stamford Bridge back in October.
Vaclik, however, still thinks Chelsea have the attacking quality to hurt them, although he seems to be looking forward to facing the challenge.
“We all know which players Chelsea has in their squad,” he told the reporters during the pre-match press conference on Tuesday (via Marca).
“Werner, Havertz, Pulisic… We know that especially in the attack Chelsea has great players, a very strong attack.
“We have a very nice game against a great team. We really want to play this competition and against rivals of this level.”
Vaclik has been Sevilla’s main goalkeeper in the past three games after Yassine Bono, who also started in the reverse fixture against Chelsea, tested positive for Covid-19 after the international break.
But Vaclik has opened up about his desire to test himself against the Blues on Wednesday.
“I always want to play,” the goalkeeper added.
“It’s true that Bono has been playing very well and helped win the Europa League.
“Being able to play a game against an opponent like Chelsea gives you more desire.”
