Christopher Nkunku has now praised Mauricio Pochettino as a ‘very good coach’ after Chelsea got their pre-season campaign underway last night.
The Frenchman told the club’s official app that he is excited about the prospect of the next few weeks working under the Argentine in the United States.
Yesterday saw Nkunku make his first appearance for Chelsea as a second half substitute against Wrexham, with the Blues running out 5-0 winners.

Mauricio Pochettino’s perfect evening got even better late on when the new signing rounded the goalkeeper late on to score his first goal for the club.
A fanbase that have been starved of goals in the last 18 months or so will have been delighted to see their new attacker amongst the goals so quickly.
Nkunku impressed by Pochettino
He was also under a little bit of perhaps unexpected pressure when he took to the pitch too. He was playing in a role Nicolas Jackson had vacated after being substituted.
His fellow new addition had impressed in his showing, with two assists to his name for Ian Maatsen who was impressing in an attacking role.

Nkunku has now claimed that he is very excited for the future under Pochettino, as the squad as a whole prepare for Liverpool on opening day.
He said: “He’s a very good coach. He helps us a lot. We have just started with him and, as I said, the next weeks are [going to be] very positive.”
While bigger tests certainly await the Blues going into next season, there will be plenty of confidence through the camp going into the upcoming games, when they face some Premier League sides before the season gets underway.
