Travis Akomeah is a professional footballer who plays for Chelsea.

Akomeah currently features regularly in the academy sides, and he is deemed one of the hottest prospects at the club.

Pochettino is set to introduce him into the first-team squad for the first time, with a potential spot on the bench in the Carabao Cup awaiting him at Stamford Bridge.

Akomeah was born in London, England on January 6th, 2006. He joined the Blues as an Under-16 from Watford in January 2022.

What position does Travis Akomeah play?

The 17-year-old is a defender, who predominantly plays centrally.

Travis has represented England at Under-16 level and has made four appearances for Chelsea’s Under-18s in the remainder of 2021/22.

The youngster was then a regular at the start of the 2022/23 season for the Under-18s side, also making his UEFA Youth League debut, as per the Chelsea website.
