'For sure': Kai Havertz names two Chelsea players that deserve big upgrades on FIFA 23 game

Kai Havertz claims Chelsea teammates Reece James and Ruben Loftus-Cheek deserve big upgrades on their individual player ratings for the latest edition of popular EA Sport’s game FIFA.

FIFA 23 officially comes out at the end of September for the next installment of the console game, which is something a lot of modern players definitely keep an eye on.

When asked which Chelsea players deserve a rating increase based off performances last season, Havertz responded: “I would say Reecey (Reece James), Ruben [Loftus-Cheek] for sure. I think these are the people with the biggest upgrade.”

Chelsea FIFA ratings

James, who’s grown into an integral star in the Chelsea line-up, was superb during an injury-hit season last year.

The 22-year-old right wing-back was crucial under former manager Thomas Tuchel, and most expect that to continue under new head coach Graham Potter.

James was rated 81 during FIFA 22, but has received a significant upgrade this year to 84.

Meanwhile, 26-year-old midfielder Loftus-Cheek has enjoyed a resurgence at Stamford Bridge to get back into the first-team squad.

His 75 rating from last season’s game has been boosted to 76 on FIFA 23.

For those who prefer real life to FIFA, they’ll know James belongs in the very top bracket nowadays when it comes to ranking full-backs/wing-backs.

He’s the complete package when it comes to attacking and defending, which is why Potter will surely love working with him at Stamford Bridge.

It was great news that James recently signed a contract extension, something that club legend John Terry loves.
