Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has showered Chelsea youngster Benoit Badiashile with huge praise.

Blues striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, 33, has been asked about the ability of one of his younger teammates.

Benoit Badiashile, who’s just 22, has made a very positive impact in Chelsea’s first-team squad since his mid-season arrival from Monaco.

Speaking on The Residency, Aubameyang has shared his admiration for how composed the 22-year-old defender actually is.

He said: “He’s (Badiashile) playing with composure at his young age, so I can’t wait to watch him play more and more in the future.”

Just like Aubameyang, we’re very impressed by what we’ve seen from Badiashile so far.

The left-footed centre-back has stepped into a Blues dressing room going through a very poor season, but he’s been one of the rare shining lights for supporters to enjoy watching.

He’s looked assured and dominant in his opening 10 appearances in Chelsea colours.

Also, the French centre-half got his first goal for the club in last weekend’s 3-1 Premier League win away to Bournemouth.

Chelsea’s caretaker manager Frank Lampard recently described Badiashile as a “big talent” following his Bournemouth display.

Hopefully, that means he’s done enough to start again this afternoon when the Blues host Nottingham Forest in a league game.

In our view, Chelsea’s defence is in very safe hands when you look at their young centre-backs such as Badiashile, Wesley Fofana and Levi Colwill.
