Christian Pulisic has shared what the Chelsea players have been saying after the defeat to Brighton last weekend.

The Blues suffered quite a big setback in the previous Premier League game, losing 4-1 away to Brighton last Saturday.

It was Graham Potter’s first defeat as head coach and his overall record is still strong, winning in midweek against Dinamo Zagreb in the Champions League group stages.

However, Chelsea sit sixth in the league table and know they’re facing some really important matches before the winter break for the World Cup.

There are two huge league fixtures against Arsenal and Newcastle United coming up. They face Manchester City in the Carabao Cup in-between that, too. Unfortunately, Kepa Arrizabalaga is set to miss all these games before the World Cup.

What Chelsea players have been saying after Brighton

Blues attacker Pulisic, 24, has given an insight into the message within Chelsea’s dressing room since the disappointing result at the Amex Stadium.

Apparently, there’s still a belief within the group to keep working on all the positives to emerge under Potter’s management so far.

When asked what was said after Chelsea’s defeat to Brighton, Pulisic responded: “We said that we can’t forget what we’ve been doing in recent weeks. I think everyone has bad days, and it was just a really tough one for us. We’ve been doing good things, and we shouldn’t just forget all that. Just keep going and put in more good performances, and we’re going to be okay.”

Chelsea are going to lose the majority of games in the Premier League if they replicate the display against Brighton, so hopefully it’s been parked as an off-day.

There has been some really positive patterns of play so far under Potter when it comes to attacking.

You do suspect the Blues will have to be more clinical against Arsenal in a couple of days time, though.
