Jurgen Klopp has said Liverpool have no new injury concerns ahead of Sunday’s clash against Chelsea, but they could be without three players for the trip.

It’s not as extensive as Chelsea’s injury list, but Klopp could still be without three players for the big game at Stamford Bridge.

Speaking in the press conference yesterday, the former Borussia Dortmund manager told the media (via Liverpool’s official website): “Intense week. A few little things here and there but at the moment should be OK.

“Nobody is coming back or whatever, and the rest we have to see.

“So, still two days to go – two training sessions – but for the moment, we seem OK.”

It implied that Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Xherdan Shaqiri, and new signing Kostas Tsimikas who missed out on their last win over Leeds last weekend would likely be out for the Chelsea game.

Tsimikas reportedly tested positive for Covid-19 but he and Shaqiri have returned to training, suggesting the pair could be available soon.

Klopp would still have all his key players, however, unlike Frank Lampard who would be without Christian Pulisic, Ben Chilwell, Hakim Ziyech, and Thiago Silva who would arguably be in the starting line-up if they were fit.

On a positive note, Mateo Kovacic who served his suspension in last Monday’s win over Brighton will be available for Liverpool.
