Blues icon Pat Nevin said he is looking forward to seeing Joao Felix play alongside new Chelsea teammates Mykhailo Mudryk and Enzo Fernandez for “a few weeks in a row”.

Chelsea are still dealing with a few injury problems, including N’Golo Kante and Mateo Kovacic’s, but Graham Potter now also has many more options to choose from compared to what he had a couple of weeks ago.

Reece James and Ben Chilwell are back, and Wesley Fofana seems to be close to a return too after being spotted on the training ground.

On the the other end of the pitch, Felix, who has served his three-match suspension, will be available for Saturday’s visit to West Ham’s London Stadium.

Like many Chelsea fans, Nevin is excited by the possible link-up between Felix and Mudryk, with Fernandez playing a supporting role in midfield.

“It is all about the mix now and getting time to find out what and who works together,” the former Blues winger wrote in his Chelsea column.

“I am sure I am not the only one who wants to see what a fully fit Mudryk, a settled Fernandez and an unbanned Joao Felix would look like together in the same team for a few weeks in a row.

“I am not sure when this will happen, and it may fit perfectly or it might not, but I would like to see it at some point, and I am sure Graham Potter does too.”

Since the three have never played together, it maybe will take some time for them to adapt to each other.

However, each of the three showed very promising signs on their Chelsea debuts, before which they had just a training session or two under Potter, so maybe they would not need much time to adjust at all.

The only one who is maybe a doubt for West Ham trip is Mudryk, who had a heavy cold last week, although given he still featured in the first half against Fulham, it should not be anything serious.
