Agent Joao Santos admitted a reverse move back to Napoli from Chelsea might be a feasible option for Jorginho, speaking to Kiss Kiss Napoli.
The midfielder spent four years in Naples before joining Chelsea for £50m (Sky Sports) in 2018.
He followed in the footsteps of his former Napoli teacher, Maurizio Sarri, who had just been appointed Blues boss.
Sarri only lasted a season at Stamford Bridge before being sacked, a fate he faced again with his next club, Juventus.
Tutto Sport reported the Italian coach could be making a return to Napoli if Gennaro Gattuso is removed from his post.
And Jorginho’s representative thought a similar reunion would be beneficial for his client.
“Sarri at Napoli with Jorginho is a wonderful idea,” admitted Santos.
“The player has two-and-a-half years left on his contract with Chelsea and is on an important salary.
“It’s possible on a football level, certainly. We’d have to see what (Aurelio) De Laurentiis thinks. Naples is a city Jorginho loves very much, which marked an important part of his career.
“Sarri is also an important coach for him, at which he expressed himself at the highest level.”
Jorginho certainly splits opinion among Chelsea fans.
However, the 29-year-old has started to win over some doubters with his performances under Thomas Tuchel.
He has started eight out of the German manager’s first 11 games in charge.
Like so many of the squad, Jorginho’s levels have been raised by Tuchel’s induction.
Everything appears glossy in the Blues camp. Not so much in the Napoli dressing room.
Their recent form has improved, yet they still sit sixth in Serie A and were knocked out of the Europa League by Granada.
It would seem a step back for Jorginho, but stranger things have happened in football.

I have always sat slightly on the fence regarding Jorginho.
You can clearly tell he’s a highly intelligent player who loves having the ball at his feet.
And this possession persistence has benefited Tuchel’s Chelsea, so it would seem strange for him to set sail now while the going is good.
