Todd Boehly has held direct talks with PSG President Nasser Al-Khelaifi about a deal to bring Kylian Mbappe to Chelsea.
That is according to the Daily Record.
So, what is the latest on Kylian Mbappe and Chelsea? Let’s take a look…
What’s the story?
Well – according to Kaveh Solhekol of Sky Sports – PSG were looking upon the likes of Chelsea favourably when it comes to the France international’s next destination, as the Blues aren’t competing in the Champions League.
A story from The Times added that PSG were expecting an approach from Chelsea for Mbappe – who Gabriel Agbonlahor once said possesses a “frightening” amount of speed.
Now – thanks to the Daily Record – we have been given an update.
It is said that Boehly and Al-Khelaifi have held direct talks about Mbappe, and PSG are believed to be encouraging Chelsea’s move for the 24-year-old.

The French giants are keen to sell their No.7 this summer, as they believe he already has an agreement to join Real Madrid on a free transfer next summer.
Understandably, PSG want to recoup some cash for Mbappe – who they spent £166m on – rather than lose him for free.
Mbappe to Chelsea could be a swap deal
Interestingly, the Daily Record specifically mention that Chelsea and PSG are in talks about a player-plus-cash deal for Mbappe, meaning Mauricio Pochettino may have to lose a member of his squad to secure the Frenchman.
Duncan Castles – who wrote the story – does not mention any names in particular.
However, PSG are said to be interested in Romelu Lukaku – according to Corriere dello Sport.

If the Parisians remain keen on signing the Belgian, then he is someone who could be included in the deal, as it would give PSG a direct replacement for Mbappe, albeit one of lesser quality.
Be sure to keep an eye on this situation, as Chelsea aren’t giving up on Mbappe.
