Since joining Chelsea, Maurizio Sarri has only made two signings.

He brought Jorginho from Napoli with him and signed Kepa Arrizabalaga to replace Thibaut Courtois.

And as he begins to mould the Chelsea team to his liking, he’ll want to bring in players that suit his philosophy.

One player that Sarri has been linked to is Lorenzo Insigne, who played under Sarri at Napoli.

Having previously been a tricky winger with little end product, Insigne found his goal-scoring boots under Sarri.

He scored 16 goals in the three seasons prior to Sarri joining, but scored 47 under his management.

And he has had the hot hand for the Neapolitans this season, scoring six goals in nine games.

But Insigne really burst onto Chelsea fans’ radar last night as Napoli played Liverpool in the Champions League.

His late winner for the Partenopei saw Carlo Ancelotti’s side win 1-0, and handed the Reds their first loss of the season.

And despite Eden Hazard and Pedro’s hot start to the season, the possibility of signing the Italy international has the Chelsea fans excited.
