Alexis Mac Allister’s father has admitted that clubs have been in contact with signing the Argentine international, with Chelsea one of the clubs interested in the Brighton & Hove Albion star.
Speaking to ESPN via the Metro, Carlos Mac Allister revealed that interest is building in the 24-year-old midfielder, with the South American maestro enjoying a breakout year having starred for Brighton and led Argentina to the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.
As per the report, Chelsea are one of the clubs interested in signing Mac Allister, with CaughtOffside claiming that Brighton would be open to selling their star player for £60m this summer amid growing interest from the west London side.

And now, Mac Allister’s father has revealed that clubs are starting to call the Premier League talent ahead of the upcoming transfer window, with Chelsea set to face a big challenge in the market to land the midfielder’s signature over the summer given the growing competition.
Mac Allister senior said: “Clubs are starting to call us for Alexis but there are no concrete talks now. We’ll decide together with Brighton, they deserve respect. We will pick the best project, based on the coach too, it’s not about money.”
Chelsea could struggle to sign Mac Allister this summer

Chelsea have shown under Todd Boehly that they’re willing to move Heaven and Earth to sign a player they want, and whilst Mac Allister could be another name for the American’s wishlist, the midfielder could be a hard player for the west London side to sign this summer.
As we know, Mac Allister is wanted by the majority of the Premier League top-six, and with Chelsea on course to fail in their quest for a top-four finish, the Argentine could favour a move to a Manchester City or Tottenham ahead of the Blues depending on what happens come the end of this season.
