Sevilla are reportedly interested in signing Chelsea’s Malang Sarr, but first he’ll need to cut short his current loan at Monaco.

Sarr, who earns £120,000-a-week, is a Blues-owner played that joined the loan army this season.

The French defender is currently playing for Ligue 1 side Monaco during a season-long loan, albeit he’s only made 12 appearances so far.

He did play 21 first-team games for Chelsea last season as part of the main squad at Stamford Bridge, but it would be a surprise if he can force his way back into contention in west London.

Malang Sarr interest

According to the Daily Mail, Spanish club Sevilla are keen on taking Sarr to Spain.

The report explains that the 23-year-old could be on his way out of Monaco after four starts all season. Sevilla are then waiting to strike a deal if his loan in France is cut short.

He’s a left-footed centre-back that would surely love some more game time during the second half of the campaign.

Sevilla are massively underachieving this season, sitting 19th in the La Liga table, so new January recruits could actually be a massive help for them.

It’s unspecified whether Sevilla’s interest is to sign Sarr permanently or on loan, but any kind of move could be a good one of the player.

Chelsea’s centre-back position is one that Graham Potter needs to get sorted.

Unlike Sarr, 19-year-old Levi Colwill is one Chelsea loanee that’s starting to really impress. The left-footed centre-back could reportedly be drafted into the Blues first-team squad next season.
