Chelsea are on the verge of completing a deal to sign Santos attacker Angelo Gabriel.
That is according to well-respected journalist Fabrizio Romano.
Angelo Gabriel, who’s just 18, is a skilful wide player strongly linked with a move to Stamford Bridge in the past couple of weeks.
The Athletic recently claimed that Chelsea have agreed a €15million (£13million) deal with Brazilian club Santos for Angelo.
Now, there’s a fresh update on the teenager’s future.

Romano has told GiveMeSport that Angelo’s transfer to Chelsea is “done”.
He explains that the Brazilian youngster is due to travel to England this week to undergo the second part of his medical before a move is properly finalised.
“Yeah, for Angelo it’s done. I think the player will be, from what I’m hearing, arriving in England this week. He will travel to England in the next 24/48 hours to complete the second part of the medical tests,” Romano said.
“The first part was already completed in Brazil, and then to sign the contract.”

“See you soon,” Santos messaged Angelo on Instagram.
So, it definitely looks like we’ll soon have a Brazilian reunion in Chelsea colours.
We’ve had a great history in the past couple of decades of hosting star players from Brazil, including the likes of Ramires, David Luiz and Willian. The best of the lot may be current star Thiago Silva, though.
If you’re a youngster walking into the Blues first team, especially a Brazilian one, you’ll be like a sponge this pre-season looking up to a top-quality veteran defender like Silva.
