Chelsea are continuing to pursue Bayer Leverkusen attacker Kai Havertz.
The 21-year-old finished the Bundesliga season as Leverkusen’s top scorer with 17 goals, as well as eight assists, across all competitions.
He has previously been linked to several top clubs, but latest reports suggest the versatile midfielder is close to a summer move to Stamford Bridge.
According to Sky Sports journalist Angelo Mangiante, Chelsea have agreed on personal terms with the Germany international.
He also claimed that Chelsea will table an official bid in the next few days as the Blues are looking to seal the deal at around €80million (£72.8m).
Interestingly, Mangiante further added that Havertz only wants Chelsea and no other team.
While another reliable transfer expert and journalist Fabrizio Romano also ran a similar story.
Romano confirmed that Havertz is pushing to leave Leverkusen and wants to join the Blues.
However, he added that during this week, the Chelsea board will decide their final budget for this transfer window after signing Timo Werner, while Leverkusen would demand a transfer fee of €80-90m (£72,8-81.8m).
The Athletic’s David Ornstein also supported these claims and revealed that Havertz is convinced with the potential Chelsea transfer after talks with Chelsea boss Frank Lampard.
