Miralem Pjanic’s representative will apparently be in Italy over the next few days to converse with Inter Milan despite Chelsea links.
According to Mundo Deportivo, Fali Ramadani is jetting off to have a conversation with Milan over a possible move away from Barcelona for his client.
Pjanic has been on the periphery of Barca’s plans since he left Juventus last summer for £54.8m (Guardian).
He started just six La Liga games in 2020/21, the last of which arriving in February.
It seems the Spanish side have already come to the end of their teether with the Bosnian and would like him gone in this transfer window.
Mainly to take a chunk out of their wage bill, which continues to cause them financial headaches.
Trying to offload the midfielder won’t be easy, due to the current economic market football currently finds itself in.
But Pjanic will have no shortage of suitors if he does leave Barca, particularly from the Premier League.
Chelsea, along with Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur, have been linked, not to mention reported interest from Juventus and Paris Saint-Germain.
However, if Mundo Deportivo is correct, the player could well be on his way to Inter ahead of the upcoming campaign.
The 31-year-old knows Serie A well, considering he spent a total of nine years there with Roma and Juve.
This may of course mean the Nerazzurri will have to trim their own squad in order to house Pjanic.
