Report: Chelsea interested in FC Metz striker Habib Diallo
Chelsea are reportedly interested in forward Habib Diallo from French top-flight club FC Metz.
According to TEAMtalk, the Blues are one of several Premier League clubs that are eyeing the Ligue 1 star.
It is understood that Frank Lampard’s team are joined by Tottenham, Watford and Norwich City in showing an interest in him.
The report explains that a bid of around £10million could be enough to secure his signature and teams are eyeing up a January swoop.
Diallo fired Metz to promotion from Ligue 2 last season with 26 goals and has started the new campaign on fire too.
The striker has eight goals in 13 league games so far and that’s done enough to attract Premier League attention.
He is a Senegal internatonal that has great pace and is showing a real composure in front of goal.
Chelsea would unable to move for the 24-year-old in January unless their transfer ban is overturned, which is why their rivals may have an advantage.
Tammy Abraham, Michy Batshuayi and Olivier Giroud are the current forward options at Stamford Bridge, with the former the talisman right now in brilliant form.
Abraham was tearing it up in the Championship last season on loan at Aston Villa and he’s made the step up to the Premier League look comfortable.
