Report: Chelsea want to beat Mourinho to sign midfielder with nine goals and assists this season

Chelsea are reportedly first in line to sign Dinamo Moscow’s wonder kid Arsen Zakharyan.

According to TEAMtalk, the Blues are neck-and-neck with Manchester City in the race to land the teenage talent.

Zakharyan has been grabbing the attention of Europe’s heavy hitters for his performances with the Russian side.

He is already on two goals and seven assists for the season from 14 appearances for their senior side.

Last term, the Russia international scored 12 times and provided 13 assists for Dinamo, although some of these appearances came in the youth-team.

A midfielder by trade, the 18-year-old can play centrally or on either flank.

It is no surprise the sport’s biggest names are all queuing up for Zakharyan’s signature.

Along with Chelsea and City, TEAMtalk claim numerous other big hitters have made enquiries to land the sensation.

Real Madrid, Atletico Madrid, Sevilla and Ajax are all named as potential suitors, as are Jose Mourinho’s Roma.

Apparently, Thomas Tuchel’s employers aren’t settled for stealing just one of Dinamo’s prized possessions.

TEAMtalk also state that the Blues are keen on Zakharyan’s club colleague, Konstantin Tyukavin.

Like his young co-worker, Tyukavin has been turning heads from across the continent.

In this campaign alone, the 19-year-old has six goals and an assist to his name.

Do Chelsea need the Dinamo pairing?

Chelsea are no strangers to scouting out rising stars, but would the Dinamo duo really fit into their illustrious set-up?

Perhaps in the youth system, although why would they leave their current first-team position for a secondary role?

Money might be a factor, or the thought of one day gracing the Premier League.

An enticing thought which few prospects could turn down.
