Chelsea are reportedly interested in a deal for Napoli defender Elseid Hysaj, with manager Maurizio Sarri keen on another raid of his former club.
According to the Daily Mirror, Sarri wants to add the right-back to his squad at Stamford Bridge and has asked the board to land the 24-year-old.
It is understood that the Albania international is valued at £45million and Napoli would prefer to sell, but the Premier League team are keen on a loan raid for him.
The report deals that Hysaj would arrive to compete with Cesar Azpilicueta for the right-back position, with Victor Moses and Davide Zappacosta expected to depart.
Hysaj is renowned as being a right-sided flyer that likes to bomb forward into attack from his right-back position with pace.
The full-back has already made 155 appearances for Napoli at his age and is a solid defender, with experience at Champions League level.
But Azpilicueta is a real fan favourite at Stamford Bridge and bringing in a potential replacement may not go down well with some fans.
Sarri may favour reuniting with former player Hysaj at Chelsea and needs to build the team in his image, but he has a huge price tag for someone with still plenty to work on.
A loan deal may be a smart option for the Blues in January, but Sarri could face real backlash if Azpilicueta is completely axed from the XI as a result.
