Chelsea are receiving transfer links to Leicester City’s Youri Tielemans – and some fans on Twitter claim they would to see him move to Stamford Bridge.

Tielemans, 24, shattered Chelsea dreams when he scored the winner in an FA Cup final against them back in May. However, Thomas Tuchel’s side did win a Champions League a couple of weeks later.

90min reports that Chelsea are one of several top clubs monitoring the situation of Tielemans. The Blues are joined by Manchester United, Liverpool, Real Madrid, Atletico Madrid and Bayern Munich in casting their eye over him.

It is explained that the 24-year-old has turned down a latest contract from Leicester to extend his future with them.

The report says the Belgium international wants to weigh up his options before committing his long-term future, but is happy where he is at present.

Chelsea fans would love Tielemans

A selection of Blues supporters on social media have reacted to the Tielemans speculation by saying he would be a brilliant addition for them.

He’s excelled in a role as a box-to-box central midfielder lately, scoring two goals and setting up three assists already this season in all competitions. In addition, he can thrive in a deeper midfield position bossing possession and working hard defensively.

Here are some of the Chelsea fanbase discussing Tielemans:

Would he give Blues anything different?

Chelsea have so many different bases covered when it comes to options in the centre of the park. For instance, they can blend the control of Jorginho with the energy of N’Golo Kante. Ruben Loftus-Cheek’s re-emergence also gives real physicality.

The closest Blues player you could compare to Tielemans is perhaps Mateo Kovacic, with the duo both great technicians who can dribble and pass.

Leicester’s number eight definitely has the advantage, though, when it comes to a killer final ball.

Tielemans is operating at a level that he would give something to any squad in the world.
