Chelsea are reportedly keen on youngster Aurelien Tchouameni from French club Monaco – and some Blues fans have reacted to the speculation by saying they would love to sign him.
90min claims that Chelsea have the 21-year-old midfielder in their sights.
The report states that Thomas Tuchel’s side could make a bid for him before the summer window shuts, albeit the Blues manager would be in favour of sending him straight back on loan to current French club Monaco.
Ligue 1 side Monaco will listen to offers for the France Under-21 international if it’s in the region of double the £15million transfer fee they originally paid for him last year.
For Chelsea, they have three senior options right now vying for the central midfield positions. N’Golo Kante, Jorginho and Mateo Kovacic are the frontrunners. Right now the likes of Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Ethan Ampadu are still around the group, too.
It would be great to add another quality midfielder to the ranks and Monaco’s young sensation has a brilliant reputation.
He’s got a real defensive steel because of his energy, aggression and interceptions. But, he’s also someone that is technically sound in possession.
