Chelsea supporters on social media were shocked to discover Marc Guehi is on the verge of signing for Crystal Palace.
The Athletic reported earlier today that Palace are nearing a deal to sign the highly-rated defender from Chelsea.
Guehi only just joined up with the Blues for pre-season, following two successful loan spells with Swansea City.
But it seems his stint at Cobham is only a fleeting one, as the Eagles swoop in for his services.
Unsurprisingly, Chelsea fans couldn’t fathom the idea that their club are letting go another academy product.
Fikayo Tomori has already been sold to AC Milan, with Guehi set to follow down a similar path.

Of course, for Guehi, this could be a career-defining transfer.
He is yet to taste Premier League action and will likely play a big part for Palace under their new manager, Patrick Vieira.
The 21-year-old shone for Swansea in successive seasons and many predicted he was ready to take the step up.
There was no guarantee that Chelsea could offer him such opportunities, due to the strength in Thomas Tuchel’s squad.
But with Vieira’s side having a major reshuffle, Guehi may well settle easily into his new footballing home across the city.
Palace are also said to be interested in Conor Gallagher, another who rose through the Blues ranks.
