It has been claimed by The Chelsea Spot that 18-year-old Derrick Abu has been training with the first team under Graham Potter.
The youngster is the latest from the academy to be given the opportunity to impress the manager among some of the stars at Chelsea.
Abu has made eight appearances for the young Blues this season, spanning across all three competitions.

He has predominantly featured in the right-back position, however has also played as a centre-back and even right-midfielder when required.
His career off the pitch has also already been extremely prolific. He has launched a rap career under the name ‘CHO$EN’.
Potter has seemingly made it part of his mantra to promote deserving young stars to the first team.
Abu in first team training
Lewis Hall has already made two starts before Christmas in games against Manchester City and Newcastle United.
Those impressive displays have seen him be promoted to a full member of the Chelsea first team.
His fortunes are close to being matched by youngster Omari Hutchinson, who joined the club in a free transfer from London rivals Arsenal.
While the winger’s only display for the first team has been in a friendly in Abu Dhabi, he has frequently been seen on the bench before and since the World Cup.

With the FA Cup fixture against Manchester City coming between crucial Premier League games, Hutchinson will surely be handed his chance to impress on the big stage.
Abu on the other hand may be looking at the current first team situation in hopes for his debut.
The right-back position is currently looking scarce for the Blues, with Reece James currently sidelined through injury.
Cesar Azpilicueta obviously doesn’t offer nearly as much as the Englishman, especially going forwards. This could lead Potter to assess his young options in the coming weeks.
