Chelsea Squad

The Chelsea first-team squad for the 2025/26 season has 29 players at manager Liam Rosenior’s disposal. The group features three goalkeepers, 11 defenders, five midfielders and nine attackers. There are also several loanees elsewhere.

Chelsea goalkeepers

Robert Sanchez

Robert Sanchez became Chelsea’s number one after signing from Brighton last summer. The Spaniard lost his starting place under Mauricio Pochettino but has since regained it under Maresca.

Filip Jorgensen

Chelsea signed the highly-rated Filip Jorgensen from Villarreal for a fee of £17m. The goalkeeper was brought in for his excellent ball-playing ability.

Gabriel Slonina

Gabriel Slonina completed a permanent transfer to Chelsea in August 2022. At just 14, Slonina became the second youngest signing in MLS history and the youngest signing ever for the Chicago Fire.

Mike Penders (On loan at Strasbourg)

Mike Penders joined Chelsea from Belgian side KRC Genk in the summer of 2025 and was immediately hoisted into the Blues’ Club World Cup-winning squad. He is currently on loan at Strasbourg.

Chelsea defenders

Benoit Badiashile

Monaco sold Benoit Badiashile to Chelsea in January 2023 for £35m. The defender arrived in West London on a seven-and-a-half-year deal after his France debut in September 2022.

Tosin Adarabioyo

Chelsea have been known to spend millions in the transfer market, but Tosin Adarabioyo joined from West London rivals Fulham on a free transfer.

Axel Disasi (On loan at West Ham)

Chelsea paid Monaco £38.7m to sign one of the best defenders in Ligue 1, Axel Disasi, in July 2022. The French enforcer was a target of various Premier League clubs, but Chelsea was his destination. Disasi was sent out on loan to West Ham in 2026.

Wesley Fofana

Wesley Fofana left Leicester for Chelsea in August 2022 in a £75m transfer. The Frenchman had played just 12 times in 2021/22 after suffering a fractured fibula and a dislocated ankle. He has since been very injury-prone with the Blues.

Levi Colwill

Chelsea gave Levi Colwill his first professional contract on his 17th birthday in 2020. He had been a part of their youth ranks since the under-9 level and is now featuring regularly for the first team.

Trevoh Chalobah

Trevoh Chalobah has been on the books at Chelsea since he was eight years old, progressing through the youth academy to become a first-team player.

Having spent the first half of the 2024/25 campaign on loan at Crystal Palace, he was recalled by Maresca in the winter.

Josh Acheampong

Josh Acheampong is a Chelsea academy graduate who was hoisted into the Blues’ first-team squad under Enzo Maresca. He is comfortable as a centre-half or a right-back.

Mamadou Sarr

Mamadou Sarr joined Chelsea from RC Strasbourg in June 2025, but immediately rejoined the Ligue 1 club on loan. In October 2025, he was nominated for the 2025 Golden Boy award, cementing himself as one of Europe’s top-tier emerging talents. He has now returned to the Blues.

Aaron Anselmino (On loan at Strasbourg)

Argentine defender Aaron Anselmino joined the Blues in August 2024 on a seven-year contract. He spent the first half of the 2025/26 season on loan at Borussia Dortmund and has now been sent out on loan to Strasbourg.

Jorrel Hato

Jorrel Hato joined Chelsea from Ajax at the start of August 2025 on a contract to 2032. The versatile defender is one of the world’s most promising youngsters.

Marc Cucurella

Chelsea edged out interest from Manchester City to sign Marc Cucurella from Brighton for £63m in 2022. The Spaniard had only joined the Seagulls from Getafe in 2021 for £15.5m.

Malo Gusto

Chelsea signed Malo Gusto from Lyon for £31m in January 2023. He played much of the 2023/24 season in Reece James’ absence and was one of the Blues’ best players.

Reece James

Reece James signed his first professional contract with Chelsea in March 2017 after 11 years in their academy. He has since appeared in more than 150 first-team fixtures with the Blues.

Chelsea midfielders

Moises Caicedo

Chelsea broke the British transfer record once again when they acquired Moises Caicedo from Brighton & Hove Albion for £115m. The Ecuadorian is an absolute workhorse in midfield.

Romeo Lavia

Chelsea secured the signature of Romeo Lavia in the summer of 2023, luring him away from Southampton for £58m. The Belgian has barely played for the club due to injury.

Dario Essugo

Dario Essugo signed for Chelsea from Sporting Lisbon at the start of June 2025.

Enzo Fernandez

Chelsea paid Benfica what was a British record £107m for Enzo Fernandez in January 2023. He had just won the World Cup with Argentina and took the Young Player of the Tournament award.

Andrey Santos

Andrey Santos completed a transfer to Chelsea from Vasco da Gama in January 2023. He has since become an integral part of the side.

Kendry Paez (On loan at River Plate)

Kendry Paez joined Chelsea from Independiente del Valle officially in July 2025. The Ecuadorian is currently on loan at River Plate.

Cole Palmer

Mauricio Pochettino secured the signature of Manchester City’s Cole Palmer on deadline day last summer for £42.5m. The Englishman was exceptional in the 2023/24 season, providing 22 goals and 11 assists in the Premier League.

Chelsea attackers

Tyrique George (On loan at Everton)

Tyrique George has been a revelation for Chelsea since breaking into the first team in 2024/25, showing early signs that he could become a key player for the club in the very near future. For now though, he’s on loan at Everton until the end of the season.

Mykhailo Mudryk

Chelsea beat out interest from Arsenal to sign Mykhailo Mudryk from Shakhtar Donetsk for £88.5m in 2023. The Ukraine international had only played 44 senior fixtures for the Ukrainian team.

Jamie Gittens

Jamie Gittens joined the Blues ranks in the summer transfer window of 2025, with the young English starlet making the switch from Bundesliga outfit Borussia Dortmund.

Alejandro Garnacho

Alejandro Garnacho joined from Premier League side Manchester United in the summer of 2025, making the switch from Old Trafford to Stamford Bridge for £40m.

Estevao Willian

Estevao Willian officially linked up with the Blues after turning 18 in the summer of 2025, joining from Brazilian side Palmeiras. He is widely believed to be one of the world’s best players in the future.

Pedro Neto

Pedro Neto was Chelsea’s most expensive signing in the 2024 summer window – £54m. He brings great pace and creativity to the Blues’ attack.

Marc Guiu

Marc Guiu is a young striker who joined Chelsea for £5m, not long after scoring on his debut for Barcelona.

Liam Delap

Liam Delap became Chelsea’s new number nine in the summer of 2025, following a £30m transfer from Ipswich Town.

Nicolas Jackson (On loan at Bayern Munich)

Chelsea brought Nicolas Jackson to England from La Liga club Villarreal in July 2023. He is now on loan at Bayern Munich.

Joao Pedro

Joao Pedro moved from Brighton to Chelsea at the start of July 2025, having already cemented himself as one of the most dangerous forwards in the Premier League.
