John Terry was hugely impressed yesterday by Chelsea youngster Zak Sturge.
The Blues first team may be in a poor position right now, but the club’s Under-21s group is enjoying a fantastic season.
Chelsea’s youth side beat London rivals Arsenal 1-0 last night in the Premier League 2, with Leo Castledine scoring five minutes from time to earn three points.
Mark Robinson’s side now sit second in the league table, just two points behind leaders Manchester City.

Sturge, who’s an exciting 18-year-old Chelsea talent, is a regular in the Under-21s side during recent weeks.
The versatile defender played 90 minutes last night during the victory over Arsenal.
He caught the eye as a centre-back in a back three.
Club legend Terry, who’s a coaching consultant in Chelsea’s youth academy, took to Instagram earlier today to highlight Sturge.
“Great performance from this young man last night,” Terry wrote on his Instagram story.

Sturge is yet to make his first-team debut for Chelsea, with competition in defence quite fierce in the main set-up.
However, he’s been spotted training with the senior group various times in recent months.
If you’re a young defender at Cobham trying to make it at Chelsea, Terry is probably one of the very best people to receive praise from.
There’s definitely a few rising stars impressed in the Under-21s this campaign, so hopefully more are blooded into Graham Potter’s squad over the course of the next year.
