Chelsea icon Paul Canoville has praised young Chelsea talent Jude Soonsup-Bell after a goalscoring performance in Wednesday’s Premier League Cup final win over Fulham.
The young Blues secured a 2-1 win, and their first this season, over their neighbouring rivals at Craven Cottage.
Soonsup-Bell, who had already scored twice against Fulham this season, grabbed the eventual winner 10 minutes before time after a brilliant run and an assist by Charlie Webster.
The pair have already been invited to the first-team training sessions on numerous occasions, which suggests that they have already caught the attention of Thomas Tuchel.
Well, in Soonsup-Bell’s case, he even already made his senior debut under the German in the 2-0 win over Brentford in Carabao Cup in December.
Tuchel is clearly not the only one keeping an eye on Soonsup-Bell, though, as Canoville had recently his say on the 18-year-old’s latest display.
“Well done, young man,” the former Blues winger wrote on Twitter.
“Keep pushing.”
While a first-team promotion would arguably be too soon for Soonsup-Bell, he is arguably ready for a loan spell in senior football.
Although, it remains unclear whether Chelsea will stick to sending their young talents to loan clubs after the expected change of ownership.

The model has worked quite well in the past years, however, the prospective buyers would have no reason not to keep it.
