Chelsea prospect Charlie Webster has been spotted taking part in first-team training on Friday.
The 18-year-old midfielder is an important player in the club’s youth teams, but he’s yet to actually make his senior debut.
It’s interesting to see him involved with the senior group at Cobham just one day before Chelsea face Wolverhampton Wanderers in the Premier League at Stamford Bridge.
The English teenager has been seen with the first-team group in the past, but it’s positive to see new manager Graham Potter still including him.
He’s been spotted on Friday (picture below) training with the Chelsea seniors alongside stars Marc Cucurella and Hakim Ziyech.

Webster in first-team training
Let’s hope that Webster is one of the rising stars in Chelsea’s academy that can make a debut at some stage this season.
With Potter now in the manager’s dugout at Stamford Bridge, there should be some extra belief in the academy that they can force their way into the first team. His track record of developing young players is very positive.
There’s no sign he will be called into the main squad yet for a match day, but it has to be good news he was involved in training so close to a Premier League fixture.
He previously said that Mateo Kovacic has been a big help to him at Cobham.
There’s a lot of midfield talent in Chelsea’s senior side that it will be great for the academy players to mix it with them on a daily basis.
