Leo Cardoso reminded Chelsea supporters of his presence yesterday with a memorable match against Norwich City.
Cardoso has been at the club for nearly 12-months, following his move from West Bromwich Albion last May.
But fans wouldn’t be blamed for forgetting about the highly talented teenager.
There has been very little noise around the winger since that switch from West Brom.
Which is surprising, considering Chelsea apparently had to fight off many other clubs to seal his young signature.
Their pursuit of the Portugal youth international finally paid off yesterday, however.
Cardoso started his very first match for the Under-18s on Saturday at home to Norwich.
He couldn’t have been more involved in the action if he tried.
The 16-year-old bagged a brace on his debut, contributing to the seven that Chelsea blasted past the Canaries.

Donnell McNeilly and Louis Flower also scored twice, whilst Reiss Russell-Denny fired in a fine free-kick.
All of the goals were dispatched with real quality, with Cardoso’s conversions maintaining the level of finishing of the afternoon.
His first was a smart finish off his left foot into the bottom corner, having calmly collected a firm pass from McNeilly in the area.
Number two arrived in similar fashion after the interval.
Cardoso brought the ball down in the area, cut inside on his stronger foot and smashed his shot past the Norwich goalkeeper.
Remember the name.
