Chelsea took on Arsenal in a pre-season friendly match on Wednesday in Dublin in the International Champions Cup, with the Gunners winning 6-5 on penalties after the game finished 1-1 after normal time.

It was a chance for managers to experiment with formations and personnel, with both sides having one eye on the start of the new Premier League season next weekend.

Blues defender Antonio Rudiger scored the opening goal of the game after just six minutes by way of a header from 10 yards into the bottom corner, but that was cancelled out by Alexandre Lacazette just 17 seconds from time to force a shootout.

Chelsea actually started a fairly strong side for the London Derby, but all eyes would be on Callum Hudson-Odoi; arguably the game’s most unknown entity.

The 17-year-old made a couple of Premier League appearances under Antonio Conte last season, indicating that he has a special talent, and that was certainly on show on Wednesday as he gave Hector Bellerin the runaround.

The winger’s searing pace and trickery got the better of the Spaniard multiple times, and he even won a penalty against the defender only for Alvaro Morata to miss.

It was an extremely positive showing, and Maurizio Sarri has since said that he wants to involve the exciting young star in the first-team this season. Blues supporters were certainly loving what they were seeing:
