Chelsea have had an extremely encouraging season so far, and manager Frank Lampard is finding himself with some difficult selection headaches. He has given a host of young talent the chance to thrive, but some are still on the fringes. Here are three players Chelsea should loan out in 2020.
Marc Guehi

The 19-year-old defender has been involved in the Chelsea squad several times this season. He is regarded as a top defensive prospect by those involved at the club and featured twice in the first team’s Carabao Cup campaign.
Sending Guehi out on loan to experience regular first-team football could be the making of him, and he could follow in the footsteps of Fikayo Tomori into the starting defensive lineup.
Billy Gilmour

Billy Gilmour has been touted by some as the future air to Jorginho. The Scottish midfielder has an impressive passing range and has impressed in his brief cameos for the first team this season.
When given the chance, the 18-year-old has looked well beyond his years in terms of experience and looks to direct and control the play in a similar way to his Italian teammate. A term in the Championship would provide Gilmour with the chance to prove that he deserves to be in Lampard’s first-team thoughts for next season.
Callum Hudson-Odoi

CHO is a strange one. After bursting onto the scene last season, a cruel injury halted his progress. Since returning, Hudson-Odoi has struggled to get back to his best and has come in for some criticism.
Willian, Pulisic and Mount all seem ahead of him in Lampard’s thinking for the wide positions. A spell out on loan to another Premier League club could show Chelsea what they are missing. It would give the 19-year-old the chance to play regularly and get back to his scintillating best.
